Description
Echeveria 'Black Prince' is a slow, low-growing plant. It produces clusters of short rosettes up to 7.5 cm wide with thin black and dark triangular leaves. These leaves first emerge greenish but darken to a deep lavender brown and with age the lower leaves flare out to 2.5 cm at the base with an acuminant tip edged with fine yellow edges.
The dark red flowers appear on the short stalks from late autumn to early winter.
how to care
Most common Echeveria species are not complicated succulents to care for, as long as a few basic rules are followed. First, be careful never to let water pool in the rosette, as it can cause rot or fungal diseases that can kill the plant. Also, remove dead leaves from the bottom of the plant as it grows. Dead leaves provide a refuge for pests, which Echeveria are susceptible to. As with all succulents, careful watering habits and plenty of light will help ensure success.
