The princess earring or fuchsia is a plant that is a huge international success. It has many varieties, and both petals and sepals can be of different colors and shapes. The most common colors are red, pink, blue, violet and white, with different combinations, without mixtures. The branches are pendent, but there may be variations, with more erect plants and others more pendent. The size also varies between cultivars, so there are bushy forms and others of herbaceous size.
To always look beautiful, the princess earring requires good lighting, preferably in diffused light or semi-shade, however many varieties do well in full sun. But one detail is unanimous, fuchsias appreciate the cold and therefore preference should be given to growing in places where temperatures are not too high. In landscaping, it can be planted alone or in groups, attracting many insects and even some birds. Some cultivars are suitable for hanging baskets and look great on balconies.
